One of my most beloved Architekt is ADOLF LOOS.
I first discovered his great talent during a trip to Prague at the end of the 80’s, then as a young Architecture student in Venezia, I focused all my studies on his work. His love for classical Architecture, his minimalism and his modernism had a strong influence on my culture and my style. I love the clear lines, rigid interior spaces, flat roofs, terraces, absence of any ornament and decoration he used in all of his works.

There are so many wonderful buildings and projects, but Villa Müller and Villa Winternitz in Praha, Haus Scheu and Villa Moller in Wien, the project for the Chicago Tribune, the project for the Villa for JOSEPHINE BAKER in Paris are milestones in my private Enciclopedia.
1925 in Paris he built for his friend, the dadaist essayist TRISTAN TZARA and his wife GRETA KNUTSON this little bijoux on the hill of Montmartre.
The house has 5 floors and a terrace with the facade divided in two parts and slightly curved inward. Inside a guest apartment on the first floor, the atelier for his wife and the private spaces. Every floor has a terrace.
Maison Tzara became an artistic spot for other surrealists and dadaists artists like MARCEL DUCHAMP, MANRAY, JEAN METZINGER, JEAN COCTEAU, SONIA DELAUNAY, HANS ARP and many others.
Maison Tzara is really close to the heartbreak cobbled Côte de la Butte, the famous final climb at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games men road race.
So now you have two good reasons to visit this wonderful place next time you will visit Paris! Maison Tzara – 15, avenue Junot, 75018 Paris
