On the 4th of August 1972, an official sponsoring agreement was signed between ALFREDO GIOS (Bici Gios Torino) and GIORGIO PERFETTI owner of the world famous chewing-gum brand “Brooklyn la gomma del ponte“ giving birth for 5 years (1973-1977) to one of the most successful professional cycling teams ever existed: the Brooklyn cycling team.

I discovered this small brewery a few km before the „flamme rouge“ of the Granfondo Campagnolo in Feltre(Italy). Until 2004 the Birreria Pedavena produced beer under license for an international brewing company. When the company decided to close the factory, all the employees formed a syndicate and continued to do what they were able to do. Brewing!

So sad to hear that the cycling icon LAURENT FIGNON passed away today. Always so elegant with his round glasses wearing the Maglia Rosa or the Maillot Jaune or wearing the cycling kit of the team Renault-Elf.
During his career he won the 1989 Giro d’Italia, the Tour de France in 1983 and in 1984 and the Milano-Sanremo in 1988 and in 1989. The same year he was second at the Tour de France defeated by GREG LEMOND by 8 seconds.

gruyere cycling tour 2010
The Gruyere cycling Tour is a fantastic cycle road race in Romandie, with start and finish in Bulle. Not only the landscape is fantastic, the course is part of the history of the Tour de Suisse and Tour de Romandie with the Col du Mittelberg, Col du Pillon, Col des Mosses. Two courses, 125km with 3 passes to cross or 85km with only the Col du Mittelberg to cross. The OK is fantastic and fantastic are all the volunteers, safety personnel, race marshals, police at every junction and a fantastic motocycle escort!

Acqua Lurisia is one of the best waters in the world. It comes from a source in the Monte Pigna situated at 1500 m a.s.l. in the province of Cuneo, center of the Maritime Alps. The water is very light with only 35 mg/l of dry residue, very little sodium with only 3,0 mg/l and with a 6,9pH value and is commercialized in 2 versions, Stille and Bolle(added with co2 from a natural deposit). Four good reasons to drink well and better. The beautiful bottle was designed by ETTORE SOTTSASS.
