Ju de Valparola
The legend tells that in ancient times two witches were sitting on the two stones on the top of the “Ju de Valparola” and did not let anyone pass through without the valid “parola”(password). Today when you see the two stones on your left and on your right side you think to be in Paradise but before you have to climb the last breakheart hill “Ju de Valparola“, 300 meters of pure hell.
In the picture my teammates FABRIZIO and LUIGI on the top of the Valparola after having climbed the Campolongo, Pordoi, Gardena, Giau, Falzarego and the Valparola in a past editions of the Maratona Dles Dolomites. The 2012 edition of The TOUR DE FRANCE marks the come back of LE COQ SPORTIF as official supplier of the prestigious Grande Boucle. For forty years, but already in 1951 the French company was for the first time the official supplier of cycling jerseys for the Tour, LE COQ SPORTIF has been a part of some of the most memorable moments in cycling history, the most famous riders, from JACQUES ANQUETIL to BERNARD HINAULT, LAURENT FIGNON and EDDY MERCKX, pulled on jersey with the triangular logo visible on the right shoulder. After a long absence, in the 90‘s with GREG LEMOND before and LANCE ARMSTRONG in the last years, all the cycling jerseys of the Tour de France were provided by NIKE, last year ASO announced the new partnership with the French company to celebrate the brand‘s 130th anniversary. From July 2012 the Coq Sportif will be once more stamped on the Maillot jaune, the Maillot vert, the Maillot blanc à gros pois rouges and on the Maillot blanc. The partnership will include all the most prestigious races in the international cycling calendar organized by ASO: Paris-Roubaix, Paris-Nice, Critérium du Dauphiné. Bon anniversaire!
